50th Anniversary of the Vulcan flown cover signed by Group Captain Jeremy Price CBE, the Senior RAF Officer at Ascension Island during the 1982 Falklands conflict. The Vulcan 'Black Buck' missons carried our during the conflict were launched from Wideawake Airfield on Ascension Island.

The front of the cover features a set of for Falkland Islands stamps and an Ascension Island First Day of Issue cancellation dated 14 June 2002.

Cover measures 210 x 120mm. Artwork shows the first Vulcan prototype VX770 and Vulcan XM607 taking-off from Ascension at the start of one of the 'Black Buck' missions in May 1982. Cover comes with an illustrated insert telling the story of the Avro Vulcan.

Flown in VC-10 K4 ZD230 of 101 Squadron from RAF Brize Norton to RAF Mount Pleasant, Falkland Islands. Rear of the cover features a 101 Squadron hand stamp dated 30 April 2002.
