50th Anniversary of the Vulcan flown cover signed by three RAF Vulcan Squadron Commanders from the 1960s:
- Marshal of the Royal Air Force Lord Craig GCB OBE MA (OC 35 Squadron 1963-65)
- Group Captain A M Christie AFC MRAeS (OC 9 Squadron 1966-68)
- Group Captain R F Lockyer OBE (OC 44 Squadron 1962-64)
The front of the cover features an Isle of Man Century of Flight stamp, which features the Vulcan, and a Vulcan Restoration Trust Century of Flight cancellation dated 17 December 2003 at Douglas, Isle of Man.
Cover measures 210 x 120mm. Artwork shows the first Vulcan prototype VX770 and Vulcan XM607 taking-off from Ascension at the start of one of the 'Black Buck' missions in May 1982. Cover comes with an illustrated insert telling the story of the Avro Vulcan.
Flown in VC-10 K4 ZD230 of 101 Squadron from RAF Brize Norton to RAF Mount Pleasant, Falkland Islands. Rear of the cover features a 101 Squadron hand stamp dated 30 April 2002.
